Flight Safety Tips
- If you are either an international air passenger or local airline passenger, always book for non-stop flight if possible. 85% of all airline accidents occur during takeoff and landing stage of a flight.
- Be very observant and safety conscious when you board an airplane. If you notice any unusual behavior from your fellow passengers on board which is going to adversely affect your safety and that of other passengers, do not be unconcerned. Act immediately by informing the flight attendants and make sure necessary action is taken.
- Do not take pre-flight tranquilier as this can muddle your senses and adversely affect your safety during emergency.
- Always read in flight safety cards to refresh your memory on safety procedures. Listen and watch how these safety procedures are demonstrated by flight attendants.
- What you wear during flight can also adversely affect your safety during emergency. Avoid shorts and short sleeves, pantyhose. Synthetic materials will melt under high heat. Wear hard soled shoes and not sandals.
